Purchasing Manager
Purchasing Manager brings high contribution to Supply chain, sourcing and suppliers' performance. In this role he/she will evaluate new suppliers for needed new technologies, secures and develops existing partnerships and takes responsibility for the operative purchasing of specific components. Main driver for the role is to develop partnerships further in Cost, Quality and Availability.
You will work in Evondos headquarters in Salo with a remote working possibility. Work includes travelling maximum 10-20% of work time.
What your daily tasks will contain
- Look for and reach out suppliers, identify and evaluate the right suppliers, evaluate and ensure a healthy and competitive supplier base for the Evondos needs
- Together with other stakeholders ensure the right supplier selection, negotiate contracts and agreements with the suppliers
- Operative purchasing activities of specific components
- Create and maintain a strong partnership with suppliers, and other service providers
- Create and set targets and assess and follow supplier performance accordingly
- Collaborate with program managers for problem solving and program success
- Provide Total Cost analysis for decision making
- Contribute to development of sourcing processes and systems
What we expect you to have
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) and minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Deep knowledge of mechanics, preferably in injection molding and new technologies in the field. Electromechanics and electronics understanding is as an advantage. Ability to read drawings.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish
- Familiarity with procedural best practices in supplier management, including creating and managing supplier contracts
- Experience in project management and project teamwork
- Good Quality systems understanding and ability to work and heavily contribute to supplier audits as a sourcing expert role
- Excellent collaboration skills and intercultural sensitivity, proven skills in building partnerships
- Understanding of global logistics and supply chain processes
- Solid IT skills. ERP familiarity from procurement activities
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
