We are looking for
SW Test Engineer, Digital Services
to join our R&D team.
You will be part of our R&D department's Building Automation Team. Ouman R&D consists of 38 professionals focused on developing services typically used in HVAC applications in residential buildings. You have experience and are further interested in developing digital services running in cloud and servers. With your good interpersonal skills and a team player attitude you will fit our crew nicely. Like the rest of us, you have a curious mind and a constant desire to learn new things and better ways of creating new solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Test continuously running cloud-based software services, including backend systems and APIs.
- Plan and execute software testing activities as part of product development projects.
- Verify functionality, reliability, usability and security of software systems.
- Develop and improve testing methods, tools and processes.
- Perform manual testing and contribute to test automation where applicable.
- Investigate reported issues and support root cause analysis.
- Document test results and communicate clearly with development teams.
Key qualifications
- Sc. or B.Sc. engineering education.
- 4+ years' work experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Ability to test backend systems and APIs.
- Understanding of software testing methods and development lifecycle.
- Understanding of testing needs for scalable, secure, accessible and high‑performance software services.
- Structured way of working and attention to detail.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Finnish is mandatory, Swedish is considered a plus.
- Building automation experience is considered a plus.
