About the Job

ALTEN Finland is looking for an HR Specialist to join our Helsinki headquarters for a parental leave substitute position, starting in summer/autumn 2025. This is a fixed-term position for approximately one year. The role is in the Finance & Administration team of ALTEN Nordics, within the HR and Payroll team. If you have experience in HR administration and an interest in coaching and supporting managers in HR-related matters, you might be the perfect fit for this role!

Responsibilities
As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in overseeing and developing our HR processes and practices. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of administrative and advisory tasks. You'll provide support on matters related to labor legislation and the work environment and offer guidance by interpreting collective agreements. In this role, you will also coordinate and track the progress of various HR processes such as the Mettova review and bonus programs.

You'll be actively involved in organizing and participating in negotiations with employee representatives and will take charge of work ability management in collaboration with occupational health services. A critical part of your work will be to support managers and supervisors on HR-related issues and ensure the smooth delivery of HR documentation and reporting.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you'll contribute to the development of HR best practices by sharing your knowledge and expertise across the organization. This position reports directly to the HR Manager Nordics.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in diverse HR roles and a relevant higher education degree. You have a genuine interest in developing HR processes, improving work practices, and contributing to the growth of the organization. A solid understanding of labor laws and collective agreements is essential for this role-experience with agreements specific to the technology industry is considered a strong asset.

You also bring hands-on experience in work ability management and have worked closely with occupational health services. Your natural ability to collaborate and build strong workplace relationships sets you apart, and you communicate clearly and professionally in both Finnish and English, both spoken and written.
