As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Sales Manager to strengthen our Sales team.

Your role

As Sales Manager, you will lead international sales efforts, focusing on shipowners, operators, shipyards, and maritime authorities across commercial shipping, navy vessels, coast guards, and governmental research vessels. Your mission is to expand our global customer base and cultivate lasting partnerships. You will collaborate closely with internal experts and strategic partners to ensure smooth project execution and long-term customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will represent Aker Arctic at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, showcasing our expertise and capabilities across our full range of services - including ship design, model testing, equipment sales, and project development consultancy. Your market insights will directly contribute to service development and innovation, influencing our design and R&D teams.

Your responsibilities include

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Preparing commercial proposals
  • Leading contract negotiations

What we expect from you

  • A degree in naval architecture or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in arctic shipping or ship technology
  • Experience in international B2B sales
  • A strong track record in complex project sales
  • Profound knowledge of the maritime industry
  • Understanding of the contractual aspects of agreements
  • A proactive mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and readiness to travel
  • Fluency in Finnish and English
