As a HR manager (or HRBP) of Huawei Tampere Research Center you will be responsible for managing HR operations locally, including daily HR guidance, management support, employee relations, training and development, performance management and recruitment. You will be supported by the HR team sitting in Helsinki in employment life cycle related processes, such as payroll, internal communications, contractor management and expat management.

You will report to the HR director and work closely with the Tampere Research Center President, business teams and Line Managers, ensuring local compliance and smooth running of HR matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments, such as legal, procurement and quality and operations both locally and globally.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement local HR strategies and processes, making sure they are aligned with business and company strategies, support current and future business needs
  • Bridge employee and management team relations by addressing and solving issues and questions, business and management support in all HR related matters
  • End-to-end recruiting activities for high end talent acquisition, sourcing, managing headhunter and consultant agencies, interviewing and hiring
  • Managing and facilitating annual performance management processes, including supporting and coaching managers in employee appraisals and development plans
  • Nurture a positive and innovative working environment; staff and workplace development through e.g. annual staff surveys and internal trainings
  • Implementation and training of HR regulations and guidelines, ensuring local compliance across HR operations
  • Workplace safety and staff well-being as a member of occupational health and safety working group

  • Ability to adjust to changing situations, take responsibility, handle big entities and work smoothly with different stakeholders
  • Sense of ownership over HR areas with confidence to coach managers and staff
  • Motivation for working in a truly multicultural working environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • 3-5 years of HR related experiences in Finland
  • Strong understanding of and experience from applying Finnish labor laws and collective agreements (especially TIPAL) in daily work
  • A good knowledge of performance management tools and metrics which drives high performance
  • Successful experience from coaching and working closely with management teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Good at Microsoft tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Fluent Finnish and English in verbal and written form
  • Previous experience from working in multicultural environments and/or large-scale organizations is considered beneficial.
