The Global IT organization of Uponor is responsible for Enterprise Applications, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture and IT Sourcing. IT organization in Uponor employs around 100 persons worldwide and providing services for 30 different countries. IT organization is evolving to support Uponor's digital transformation. We are now offering an opportunity for a forward-looking IT professional to become part of this change.
The Solution Architect, Cloud and DevOps primary responsibilities include cloud strategy contribution and leading our Amazon Web Services cloud platform management and operations. Uponor utilizes a multi-cloud strategy, so you will also be responsible to grow for these activities on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure as well. You will participate closely with Uponor's digital product and service development projects and operations as an IT team member and lead the implementation of DevOps practices. You will report to Manager, Digitalization.
Your responsibilities include:
-Lead definition of the organization's cloud strategy and guiding its execution throughout the enterprise.
-Developing solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
-Managing and operating cloud subscriptions including tasks such as account structure, IAM, shared cloud services, network, security, cost management, etc. activities.
-Developing and implementing multi cloud management model.
-Building and maintaining automated deployments.
-Supporting other cloud developers to take advantage of DevOps.
-Installing and configuring solutions.
Requirements to succeed:
-Cloud platform management and operations work experience. Preferably AWS, OCI experience is a plus.
-Capability for holistic platform development approach.
-DevOps experience to both develop and support others to develop CI/CD pipelines, as well as manage templates (Cloud Formation, Terraform as preferred technologies).
-Experience of managing / developing online applications, micro service or API-based solutions is an asset.
-Experience / interest to learn analytics data ingestion, storage and processing as cloud platform service.
-Linux knowledge is as an asset.
You have already constituted a proven track record within your career. You have an active, problem-solving attitude and you take accountability of your work while still being frugal with your solution design approaches. You are customer-focused and you have genuine interest to learn and develop your own competences. Communication in English fluently and effective presentation skills to deliver key messages for less technical audience are essential. You enjoy building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives also in virtual organizations. Position requires readiness for occasional traveling when working on global projects. You have completed Bachelor degree level of relevant field or have gained similar work experience.
